About the Role
The selectee will perform multiple security management roles as the Decision Technologies Security Manager and DC Area FSO for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position in Arlington, VA.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior leadership to provide technical and programmatic support for DoD Gov Cloud Environments
- Lead multiple, cross-functional teams in the design, implementation, certification, and sustainment of Secure Gov Cloud Environments
- Lead integration of CI/CD capabilities in Gov Cloud
- Program Security Support:
- Draft and review key security documentation, including DD254s, Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Risk Acceptance Letters, and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs)
- Review OEM security procedures, evaluate security aspects of program office contracts, and verify compliance with security checklists
- Manage program security for U.S. baseline requirements as well as cooperative programs, including German partners and Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
- Collaborate with the government Security Integrated Product Team (IPT) to investigate and document security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective measures
- Develop and deliver targeted security briefings to relevant personnel and process visit requests to ensure adherence to protocols
- DC Area Facility Security Officer (FSO):
- Maintain the facility's clearance and ensure strict adherence to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
- Process initial personnel security clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations using systems such as DISS and NBIS
- Conduct comprehensive security awareness training, including initial briefings, annual refreshers, and debriefings for all cleared staff
- Manage the physical safeguarding, accountability, transmission, and authorized destruction of classified and sensitive materials
- Act as the primary liaison to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) for security reviews, incident reporting, and suspicious contact reports
- Administer the corporate Insider Threat Program to proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential personnel risks
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- At least 7 years' experience in security for national defense programs
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO certification (ISO30.CU)
- At least 2 years' experience in security for Navy programs
- Bachelor's degree
Pay & Benefits
Pay range: $70,000 - $100,000 USD per year.
