About the role
We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Operations Manager located in the Washington, D.C. area.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures, as well as attaining operating goals.
- Ensure work is being completed in a timely manner by assigning or delegating work, objectives, and activities to supervisors and staff, organizing resources, giving work direction, setting deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.
- Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance with the organization’s policies and practices.
- Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.
- Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
- Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
- Cooky/coordinator data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
- Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation.
- Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items.
- Aid in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations.
- Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required.
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience providing administrative and executive support to U.S. Navy program offices.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.
