Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer
About the role
We are searching for a Mid - Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Professional Design Services team in our Huntsville, AL office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, a strong understanding of applied HVAC and plumbing systems, and a desire to grow, collaborate, and innovate.
Responsibilities
- Supporting and leading the design and analysis of HVAC systems
- Mentoring junior staff
- Contributing to proposal development
- Involvement in a variety of multidisciplinary projects across multiple sectors, including government, industrial, and corporate clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (internship and professional experience included)
- PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred with plans on obtaining PE license in near future
- Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software
- Experience with HVAC system design and analysis
- Experience leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and supporting proposals preferred
- Strong ability to work well within a team, maintain a positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivate to produce high-quality work
- Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional growth
