About the role

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Lab Technical Designer supporting B-52 Bombers Lab Operations based in Oklahoma City, OK. This position is 100% on-site and requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and releases drawings, systems designs, or engineering documentation and data by applying company, industry, and governmental standards.
  • Prepares documentation and incorporates design changes using design tools.
  • Creates, develops, and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs, and assisting in identifying design discrepancies.
  • Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
  • Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs ranging from simple to moderately complex.
  • Coordinates activities and products with internal partners and external suppliers.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift.

Requirements

  • 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must live in the immediate area or relocate at your own expense (relocation assistance is not provided).
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience in a laboratory setting.

Preferred:

  • Experience with designing the fabrication of wire harness/cables.
  • Experience working with B-52 or similar aircraft.

Pay

Summary pay range: $63,750 – $86,250 (based on candidate experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations).

Schedule

  • 1st shift.
  • Some travel may be required (up to 10%).
