About the role

Baker McKenzie's California offices seek an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience for the Dispute Resolution Practice Group, supporting its securities litigation, SEC enforcement, class actions, product liability, and complex commercial litigation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent communication, analytical and writing skills are required.
  • Experience with drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, briefing motions, and preparing for depositions.
  • Large law firm experience in a busy litigation practice, as well as experience taking and defending depositions and arguing motions.
  • A former clerkship with a federal district court or circuit court judge is a plus.

Requirements

  • Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the California Bar to apply.
