About the role

The Corporate and Private Equity Department at McGuireWoods is seeking an Associate to support its growing practice. This position can be based in either our Dallas or Pittsburgh office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead M&A transactions from start to finish, including drafting and negotiating complex transactional documents.
  • Work with innovative technology platforms such as Harvey AI to enhance research, document drafting, and analytical work.
  • Collaborate with a large, national platform to further expand the private equity department.

Requirements

  • 3 - 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a preference for private equity-led M&A transactions or acquisitions for private equity funds.
  • A strong academic record.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently with clients and colleagues.
  • A willingness and desire to work with innovative technology platforms.
  • Pennsylvania bar is required.
