Mid-Level Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the role

A Mid-Level Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) is needed to support the organization’s strategic communications initiatives. This role requires expertise in developing and implementing effective internal and external communications strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal and external communications plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
• Manage and maintain the organization’s public relations and media relations efforts.
• Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.
• Monitor and respond to media inquiries and public opinion.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communications or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing and editing skills, including proficiency in creating compelling content for various audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in crisis management and media relations is a plus.

Pay

• Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
