Junior Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME)

About the Role

TGG is seeking a Junior Communications Systems Specialist to join our Exercise and Training Events Support team. This role requires extensive experience in operating audio, video, video teleconferencing, and data communications systems and equipment to support critical national and major command-level operations.

Responsibilities

Operate the following communications systems and equipment:

• Secure and Non-Secure Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) telephones
• Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN)
• Audio recorder
• Enhanced Communications Console (ECC)
• AMX Video Display unit
• PLANAR Video Wall
• Digital Integrated Communications Electronic System (DICES) thin client audio controller
• Distributive Continuity Integrated Network-TS (GOLD)
• Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS)
• Voice-Over-Internet Protocol (VOIP) terminals
• STRATCOM Training and Enterprise Network (STEN)
• Nuclear Planning and Execution System (NPES)
• Joint Integrated Missile Defense Missile Warning Training System (JIMDTS)

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience operating one or more of the listed communications systems/equipment types
• 5 years of experience in Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications Operations, including MAJCOM-level experience with audio, video, video teleconferencing, and data communications systems/equipment
• Command/Operations Center/Battle Staff experience is desirable

Qualifications

The government seeks experts in the day-to-day operations of the specified communications systems, not in troubleshooting, maintenance, or repair.

Security Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance with current SCI and NC2 eligibility.
