The Mid-Level Acquisition Specialist position is designed for an experienced professional who can support complex federal procurement and contract administration activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop acquisition strategies and comprehensive acquisition planning documents aligned with government requirements and mission objectives.
- Prepare solicitations, evaluation plans, source selection documentation, and other procurement materials.
- Conduct detailed cost and price analyses, including assessments of price reasonableness, allowability, and related procurement considerations.
- Support contract negotiations, procurement decisions, and contract award activities.
- Draft and review Determinations and Findings (D&Fs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), Interagency Agreements (IAAs), acquisition plans, and other required documentation.
- Analyze procurement and contracting risks, identify potential compliance concerns, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support acquisition policy, regulatory compliance, internal control, and audit initiatives.
- Provide guidance and practical advice to acquisition personnel regarding applicable federal contracting regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Apply strong analytical and communication skills to resolve acquisition challenges and support sound procurement decisions.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and defensible acquisition documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least six years of relevant acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal contracting regulations, acquisition policies, and procurement procedures.
- Experience supporting complex acquisition planning, solicitation development, evaluation, negotiation, and contract administration activities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess procurement information, identify risks, and develop practical recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise government acquisition personnel and communicate complex regulatory matters clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, well-supported acquisition documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a structured government acquisition environment.
- Previous experience supporting federal government acquisitions is preferred.
