About the role

The Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) enables the DMHC to deliver essential services to the State of California using Information Technology (IT). OTI develops, maintains, and supports multiple IT systems that include a vast variety of office automation tools, custom applications, public and internal web sites, business intelligence tools, and the underlying IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain custom applications and Power Platform solutions for DMHC’s internal and external users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy Power Platform solutions.
  • Support the integration of Power Platform solutions with existing IT systems and data sources.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Power Platform solutions through testing, feedback, and iteration.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in developing and maintaining custom applications and Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other database technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and services.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration.
  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • SQL and other database technologies.
  • Software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay

$6,513.00 - $10,537.00 per Month

Schedule

This position may be eligible for hybrid telework.
