1-year contract position based in Columbia, SC (2 days in-office, 3 days remote). Candidates must reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to commute to Columbia 2 days per week. W2 and U.S. citizenship or Green Card required.
About the Role
The Microsoft Dataverse & Power Apps Developer will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, and other technical teams to design, build, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform. This highly hands-on role focuses on delivering robust, scalable business applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power Apps solutions (canvas and model-driven).
- Build and manage Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, APIs, and security roles.
- Develop automated workflows using Power Automate.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with enterprise applications and data sources, including Azure services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, test, and production environments.
- Work closely with business partners to translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Implement best practices around solution architecture, governance, data modeling, and secure-by-design development.
- Maintain documentation for configuration, data models, custom connectors, workflows, and operational support.
- Assist in building monitoring, auditing, logging, and compliance controls in alignment with enterprise policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Power Apps Development (model-driven and canvas).
- 5+ years of experience developing solutions using Dataverse, including advanced data modeling and security architecture.
- Strong experience with Power Automate for building complex workflows and integrations.
- Experience creating and managing custom connectors, APIs, and integrations with Azure Services.
- Solid understanding of Power Platform environments, ALM, solution management, DevOps, and deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, PowerFx, and low-code extensibility patterns.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Must hold Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics Certification or have 5+ years of equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure API Management.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CE configuration and extended Dataverse features.
- Experience with enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, NIST, PCI, etc.).
- Knowledge of Power BI for reporting integrations.
- Understanding of security architecture within Power Platform and Azure AD.
- Preferred certifications:
- PL-400 Power Platform Developer
- PL-600 Power Platform Solution Architect
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Additional Skills

- Self-starter capable of managing work independently while collaborating across teams.
