Key Responsibilities

  • Design, administer, and optimize enterprise Microsoft 365 services with a primary focus on Exchange Online.
  • Implement scalable platform configurations that improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the overall health, availability, and performance of the Microsoft collaboration platform.
  • Administer Exchange Online, including: Mail flow, Transport rules, Mailbox provisioning, Anti-phishing and email security policies, Transport configuration.
  • Lead Exchange migration initiatives, including: On-premises to Exchange Online migrations, Tenant-to-tenant migrations, Hybrid coexistence planning, Post-migration validation and stabilization.
  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Terraform. Build repeatable infrastructure deployments utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies. Create automated workflows using Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and Power Automate. Utilize Microsoft Graph API for administration, reporting, and automation.
  • Design and administer SharePoint Online environments. Implement governance standards around site architecture, taxonomy, metadata, permissions, and content organization.
  • Support ongoing SharePoint modernization and collaboration initiatives.
  • Support enterprise adoption of Power Apps and Power Automate. Establish governance around: Environment strategy, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Connector management, Citizen development best practices. Help create a secure, scalable self-service automation framework.
  • Administer Microsoft security and compliance technologies, including: Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection Sensitivity Labels, Retention Policies, eDiscovery.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop self-service capabilities and automation that reduce manual administrative work. Document platform configurations, automation scripts, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting Microsoft 365 services.
  • Mentor service desk personnel and help improve operational maturity across the Microsoft platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise Microsoft 365 administration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Exchange Online.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise Exchange migration projects.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience with Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on SharePoint Online administration and governance experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • Experience implementing or managing a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Familiarity with ITIL or enterprise service management practices.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Purview in large enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments during mergers, acquisitions, or tenant consolidations.
  • Terraform experience for Infrastructure-as-Code deployments.
  • Experience implementing or managing a Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot deployment and governance experience.
  • Microsoft certifications such as: MS-102 AZ-104 SC-400.
