Microbiology Technician

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to analyze and report environmental conditions for various manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with microbiologists, assisting in testing and general laboratory functions, and interacting directly with production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and report environmental conditions for manufacturing operations.
• Assist in microbiological testing and general laboratory functions.
• Execute routine laboratory procedures, including:
  • Endotoxin testing (water and product).
  • Environmental viable and particulate testing in general manufacturing and clean rooms.
  • Bioburdens and water collection.
  • Review particulate, TOC/conductivity charts on water.
  • Biological Indicator (BI) placement and packaging.
• Operate all lab equipment and read microbial plates.
• Trend data (environmentals, water, and bioburdens).
• Execute validation protocols to support sterilization, machine, and room expansion in manufacturing and clean rooms.
• Assist in writing and revising lab procedures and laboratory non-conformances review notices.
• Perform other duties as required to support business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Associate Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science field (preferred).
• BA/BS Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Laboratory Science field (preferred).
• Two years of lab experience (preferred).
