Responsibilities

• Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements
• Supervise personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas
• Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing
• Responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility
• Demonstrates skill required to supervise, teach and motivate staff
• Review and approve payroll time sheets, purchasing requisitions, check requests, and scheduling requests

Requirements

• 4 year Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology required
• 5 years' experience as a Medical Technologist
• State of Florida Supervisor License in all 5 specialty areas or the ability to obtain
