What Qualifications you will need:Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry required, Master’s Degree preferred.National Certification as a Medical Technologist required,State licenses where required (CA, FL, LA, NV, NY, TN,)3-5 years of Microbiology Supervisory level experience required.Experience in a high-volume hospital or central laboratory setting preferred.Thorough knowledge of laboratory methods using independent judgement to demonstrate knowledge of microbiology and infectious disease processes with correlation of disease states and test results.Thorough knowledge of laboratory accreditation and regulatory compliance requirementsThorough knowledge of laboratory billing guidelinesExcellent communication skills. Effectively presents ideas and concepts to groups in a concise manner.Effective team building and organizational skills.Ability to supervise, teach, coach, and motivate staff.Effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Knows when to seek guidance and escalate to leadership.
