About the role
The role is based in Madison, Wisconsin and is part of a creative, agile team focused on delivering sustainable innovations that enhance everyday products.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to quality systems such as ISO 22000, NSF, and GLP guidelines.
- Perform routine laboratory testing with accurate and timely documentation in SAP Quality Management.
- Utilize laboratory standards, materials, and documentation to support testing procedures.
- Follow departmental procedures to calibrate, maintain, and use laboratory equipment.
- Apply GMP for proper care, handling, and storage of food and dietary supplement products.
- Conduct environmental sampling according to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment by enforcing safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the team on cross-functional quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field, or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant laboratory experience.
- Knowledge of analytical methods and testing within the Quality Control (QC) department.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong mathematical skills and clear communication abilities.
- Compliance with laboratory safety standards and use of PPE.
- Comfortable working in a laboratory setting up to 100% of the time.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field, or an associate degree with at least one year of relevant laboratory experience.
- One year of relevant laboratory experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of analytical methods and testing performed within the Quality Control (QC) department.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
