About the Role
This is a safety sensitive position as defined by state and federal laws that will require working with hazardous materials and/or handling medicine. Some highlights:

- This is a full-time role
- Work Schedule: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexible hours such as early, late and weekend shift may be required.
- Work Restrictions: Because of the vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees.
Responsibilities
- Testing of compounded sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals
- Sterility, fungal and endotoxin testing
- Identification and isolation of microorganisms
- Participate in discussion with scientific and business development personnel to assess technical and operational issues including routine sample and project testing / results, SOPs and client relations
- Take client calls and assist them with technical details of testing
- Reporting results
- Aid laboratory personnel in daily activities to maintain high scientific quality and compliance with SOPs, cGMP protocols, and safety standards
- Able to wear, maintain, and properly use appropriate safety equipment, including, but not limited to eye protection, gloves, full face respirator, and lab coat
Requirements
- An associate degree in Microbiology or related science with 2+ years industrial experience
- OR A bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related science with 0-2 years industrial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related science with 1-2 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication proficiency
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
