Crete United is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in the United States.
About the role
Hillard is positioning for significant growth and is seeking an experienced Licensed Michigan Journeyman Electrician to join our growing Service team.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code.
- Provide teaching, coaching, and mentoring to apprentices learning the trade.
- Travel to regionally based customer locations to perform complex industrial and commercial work in construction and service scenarios.
- Knowledge of primary installations and terminations.
- Troubleshoot relay logic & PLC controlled equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all OSHA, Hillard Electric, and customer safety requirements and company policies.
- Perform wire and cable pulls.
- Install feeders and make standard motor connections.
- Participate in safety talks, audits, and related safety activities.
- Immediately identify, correct, and/or report unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents.
- Work with Utility Providers.
- Participate in CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 10-hour training.
Requirements
- Possesses an active Electrical Journeyman’s license (5 years minimum).
- Strong knowledge of the most recent National Electric Code.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills – Motors, control systems, lighting, high and low voltage.
- Strong problem-solving thought process.
- Skilled at reading, understanding, and following blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude and a passion for teaching others in this area.
- Ability to informally lead others, including directing work and coaching for improvement.
- Demonstrate a focus on safety, quality, customer service, and goal attainment.
- Operates with honesty and integrity.
- Self-driven, reliable, and able to work independently even under pressure.
- Solid planning, organizing, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration with peers and leaders.
- Ability to travel regionally to project sites, work overtime, and in varied weather conditions required.

Pay
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
