About the role
Mia Italian Express Clerk position at Hy-Vee requires a friendly and efficient service-oriented individual. The role involves taking orders, preparing pizzas, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Escorts customers to products, secures items, loads/unloads heavy items, and passes along customer suggestions
- Answers the telephone and takes customer orders
- Pre-bakes pizza crust, prepares pizza toppings, and replenishes product
- Ensures product inventory and cleanliness
- Runs registers, makes change, removes trash, and adheres to hygiene and dress codes
- Orders product and prepares dough and breadsticks as needed
- Assists in other areas of the store as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Less than 6 months of similar or related experience
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to add and subtract basic figures
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform visual tasks including depth perception and field of vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
