Job Title: Mia Italian Express Clerk
Department: Mia Italian Express

General Function
This position is responsible for taking orders from customers over the telephone or counter, checking orders for accuracy, and ensuring a positive company image through courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service.

Reporting Relations
- Accountable and reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home; Food Service Director; Mia Italian Department Manager

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
- Greets customers with a smile and addresses them by name
- Escorts customers to products, secures items, loads/unloads heavy items, and passes along customer suggestions or requests
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers
- Takes customer orders at the counter
- Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Ensures the work area is clean and neat, follows proper sanitation procedures, and prepares pizza toppings and breads
- Pre-bakes pizza crust, prepares and finishes product, and maintains inventory
- Runs department registers, receives payment, and removes trash
- Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Secondary Duties And Responsibilities
- Orders product as requested by the department manager
- Prepares pizza dough and breadsticks when necessary
- Pulls old product from the case and replaces with new product
- Assists in other areas of the store as needed
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker Characteristics
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
Education And Experience
- High school or equivalent education
- Six months or less of similar or related experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically able to exert up to 20-25 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and exert negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
- Must have vision from 20 inches or less to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, and field of vision
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
