About the role

Provides support in patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with physical management, implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care and documents related tasks.
• Participates in group activities and therapy.
• Adapts behavior to meet patient needs.
• Ensures compliance with laws, standards, and organizational policies.
• Supports patient care based on physical, psycho/social, and safety criteria.
• Maintains clinical knowledge and performs related duties to promote patient well-being and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or related field.
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and confidentiality practices.
• Prior psychiatric experience is preferred.
