About the role
The Mental Health Assistant (MHA) position involves implementing treatment and educational programs for students/clients in JRC's school and residential components. Responsibilities include supporting skill development, maintaining a safe environment, and providing consistent treatment to reduce problem behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Support skill development and mastery for students/clients
- Maintain a safe environment for academic success
- Provide interventions that align with treatment plans
- Implement educational programs as directed
- Assist in reducing problem behaviors through consistent treatment
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two previous employments
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Increased rates for BA or beyond
- Increased rates for experience (1-3+ years) in Human Service or Military experience
Skills
- Ability to work with autistic-like adolescents/adults and young adults with behavioral disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current methods for treating behavioral issues

Pay
- \$20-\$26 per hour for full time MHAs
- Monthly salary starting at \$10,000 with potential to exceed \$100,000 with extra shifts
- First year sign-on bonus of \$3000
- Weekend and assignment differentials

Schedule
- Hours of work are assigned on a weekly basis and can include weekends, nights, and holidays
