Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patient observations and document findings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities.
- Supporting patients in carrying out their daily activities.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
- Aid in the administration of medication under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Monitor and record patient progress in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Full Certification as a QMHA with the Mental Health Accreditation and Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
- CPR and First Aide Certification.
- Non-Violent Crisis Prevention (CPI) Certification preferred.
- An individual must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Adhere to applicable policies and procedures, including infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening with documented results, completed within the last (12) months.
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccination or provide an exemption as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in mental health or healthcare setting.
- Strong foundation in psychotherapy and counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Experience with group therapy facilitation.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software/tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams at contracted facilities and community partners to optimize patient outcomes.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
