About the role
The Department of Music, Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University invites applications for instructional positions with the Dance Department for Fall 2026 semester. Positions include teaching courses in Concussion Awareness, Motor Learning Dance, Special Topics Dance, Production Study Dance Production, Pilates Teacher Training and others to undergraduates and graduates.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate dance courses as assigned.
- Prepare and deliver course content in areas such as Concussion Awareness, Motor Learning Dance, Special Topics Dance, Production Study Dance Production, Pilates Teacher Training.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and relevant one year of teaching and/or technical experience. Graduate degree preferred.

Pay
A minimum of $750 for the contract period, depending on position and number of sessions. The final salary offer may be determined by qualifications, experience, expertise, availability of department or grant funds, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
Schedule
Part‑time position for the Fall 2026 semester.
