Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction of the team, ensuring the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions
- Oversee delivery, ensuring timelines are met, quality standards are maintained, and resources are efficiently utilized
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, set priorities, and align the engineering team with business goals
- Participation in and well-planned implementation of established quality improvement initiatives and processes
- Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
- Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, and encourage the team to explore new tools, techniques, and best practices that can benefit the organization
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Knowledge of surrounding technologies including design patterns and modern standards
- Significant experience leading Salesforce platform delivery teams of developers, business analysts, QA and contractors
- UI delivery experience
- Group insurance (VB, Life, Absence, Disability) industry experience preferred
- Leadership skills to work effectively with peers within and across organizations
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Strong written and interpersonal communication with the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Ability to manage and execute on multiple project timelines and manage competing priorities
- Knowledge in a product operating model and experience in scaled agile environments
- Ability to effectively manage a backlog of priorities from a diverse stakeholder group
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across stakeholders, including customers, account management, senior leadership, and operational leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 6+ years of relevant technical and business experience
- 3+ years of managerial experience in a complex business environment involving multiple business issues
