Responsibilities

  • Consult with customers to create profitable business strategies, considering their vision, goals, current results, and compliance with Cencora programs and services.
  • Organize timely RFP processes for effective contract renewals.
  • Generate customer interest using solution selling and establish trust through value propositions.
  • Resolve customer issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures.
  • Partner with segment sales directors and account managers to develop regional chains managed by the Strategic Accounts Team.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to meet national and regional business goals.
  • Review market analysis to determine customer needs and pricing schedules.
  • Analyze and develop strategies around business dynamics such as ownership changes, market share, competitor strengths/weaknesses, and evolving customer requirements; communicate these internally via discussions and written plans.
  • Represent Cencora at trade association meetings.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key customers.
  • Provide feedback, industry knowledge, and specific recommendations to Corporate on programs, policies, products, and pricing.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and seek new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze reports/data to measure profitability growth; develop strategies to ensure continued success.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel extensively to meet sales objectives.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution, with emphasis on segment sales.
  • Thorough knowledge of ABC products, programs, and services.
  • Proficiency in sales management, planning, goal setting, and strategic/consultative selling techniques.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for report preparation and information dissemination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop cooperative working and business relationships.
  • Strong presentation skills; ability to train others.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and develop strategies for identified financial issues.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and competitive information to develop responsive strategies.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong creativity; focused and disciplined.
  • Good understanding of Customer Value Chain.
  • Working knowledge of computers and company systems/programs.

Pay

Salary Range: $93,500 – $187,000 (national average). Actual range may vary based on locale. State-specific ranges in Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Illinois may be up to 10% lower than the minimum or 12% higher than the maximum.

Full-time position.
