MGR REGIONAL OPERATIONS
TMI is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Regional Operations Manager (ROM) position for our branch operations group located at our Lenexa, Kansas facility.
About the role
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) manages Branch Managers by providing coaching, training, and direction to ensure branch sales, customer service, profitability, and asset management goals are met. Responsibilities include assisting in hiring, training, performance management (including annual and midyear evaluations), and corrective actions. Ensures all company policies, safety standards, and procedures related to employees and operations are followed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all branches and employees follow procedures, policies, safety standards, and work instructions.
- Resolve customer issues, complaints, and transactions when necessary.
- Manage, supervise, and conduct Branch Visit Guides; follow up and assist in resolving deficiencies.
- Assist in planning and forecasting inventory needs, ensuring adequate product inventory is available and in good condition.
- Resolve operations issues or concerns by communicating with DOM, Regional Manager, or corporate office where appropriate.
- Ensure account sales are monitored and accounts are being worked via CRM.
- Review branch P&Ls and provide guidance to help deficient areas get back on track.
- Work with Region Manager and Territory Sales Managers to enable the region to achieve overall sales goals.
- Act as a support line with sales.
- Work with HR Business Partner to proactively develop branches’ staffing/talent pipelines, including networking and participating in the Branch Manager Training program (BMT).
- Ensure all employees receive sufficient training for their roles and coordinate with corporate office, HR, and company trainers to meet training goals.
- Liaise with corporate real estate and operations for branch openings, closings, relocations, and layout planning, including conducting real estate building and location evaluations.
- Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience.
- 4-year degree or equivalent.
- People management experience.
- Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and exercise good judgment.
- Product knowledge and understanding of the HVAC industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent computer knowledge, including AS400 and Microsoft Office.
- General knowledge of HVAC wholesale experience.
- Knowledge of warehousing, inventory, and facility lease agreements.
- Strong knowledge of sales P&L.
- Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the job.
