About the Role
Manage the Pump Technician Team. Implement policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Select, train, develop, and oversee the Pump team.
Responsibilities
- Ensures effective associate relations. Provides associate coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolves associate issues through problem resolution.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
- Oversees investigations.
- Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership and general management experience.
- Experience planning over extended time frames and preparing action plans to achieve results.
- Supervision experience, including employee hiring, retention, performance review, and discipline.
- Employee training and development experience.
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.
- Generally, 8+ years’ experience in a related field. May require certification.
- Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Environmental Job Requirements
- Typically, in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
