About the role
HII Mission Technologies, Warfare Systems Group, Integrated Systems, Air Dominance seeks an experienced, mid-level Program Manager to lead a subset of the Fighters/Bombers Programs. This role involves providing Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Logistics products to the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate (AFLCMC/WA) and Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WB) Program Office.
Fighters/Bombers Programs deliver aircraft and aircraft systems requirements, capability gap analysis studies, research, development, test, evaluation, fielding, capability transfer, and system sustainment products to the Department of Defense Joint Services, specifically the U.S. Air Force.
The Program Manager will maintain a highly skilled, capable, and agile workforce; ensure delivery of quality products; identify new work opportunities; drive customer satisfaction; and achieve company financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee profit and loss (P&L) for a complex program(s).
- Provide program management oversight, coordinating program requirements across planning stages with multiple subcontractors.
- Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Ensure cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
- Act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Develop new business or expand services with the customer.
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules; identify and resolve program problems.
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the program.
Requirements
- 6 years of relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; OR 4 years with a Master’s in a related field; OR a High School Diploma or equivalent with 10 years of relevant progressive experience.
- Three (3) years of experience working in an Air Force Acquisitions Program Office.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated application of:
- DoD and Air Force program management policies and procedures on an ACAT III or higher modification program for a major weapon system.
- Design and implementation of aircraft cyber security and/or avionics.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Active TOP SECRET with SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or on a DTIC IAC MAC Task Order.
- Experience communicating with Military and/or Civil Service leadership at the ML and SML levels.
- Experience managing large programs providing RDT&E Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Logistics products to AFLCMC/WA and/or AFLCMC/WB customers.
- Experience managing enterprise-level IT, communications, spectrum management, and system integration activities in military and DoD environments, including executive-level IT leadership roles.
- Proven track record of developing teams, improving processes, coordinating stakeholders, and driving mission outcomes across complex technical environments.
- Background supporting USAF programs, aircraft platforms, and RMF/Information Assurance activities, including review of technical documentation, risk assessments, and program protection artifacts.
Physical Requirements
- May require site visits in an industrial or shipboard environment.
- Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above floor level.
