About the role
The Marketing Manager assists with the development, implementation, and management of online marketing programs, websites, social media, SEO, content, and related initiatives. Coordinates with outside digital agencies and property staff to ensure program objectives are met and revenue is maximized. The ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for all facets of marketing.
Responsibilities
- Work with designated hotels to create branded and unique property identities, including forward-looking positioning statements, supported by online and offline content.
- Manage online presence, emphasizing unique and engaging content for branded hotel websites, vanity websites, the company website, and third-party sites.
- Ensure hotel websites are optimized using current SEO best practices in collaboration with designated hotels and agencies.
- Direct, manage, or assist in all areas of online/digital marketing, including website development and online marketing for designated hotels.
- Conduct and track ongoing email marketing campaigns for various hotel business units.
- Utilize reporting from agencies, brands, and Google Analytics to drive improved content and marketing decisions.
- Recommend changes and new reporting based on evolving technology, CMS, or business needs.
- Oversee and coach hotel social media champions and agencies on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others.
- Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) to ensure consistency with each hotel’s identity and positioning.
- Manage promotional packages and campaigns, including creative requests, communication plans, and post-campaign recaps.
- Monitor trends, online media, and brand reputation, ensuring management responds to online travel and review websites.
- Develop and implement company-wide Public Relations initiatives and programs.
- Work with PR agencies to create property-specific initiatives that reinforce identity and positioning.
- Recommend changes to PR reporting based on technological or business needs.
- Create forward-looking identity statements for designated hotels to drive messaging across online, social media, PR, and collateral.
- Direct, manage, or assist in developing breakthrough creative materials (online and offline) to support corporate and property marketing goals.
- Assist designated hotels with communication materials (flyers, signs, eblasts) and collaborate with property staff and agencies on design and creation.
- Maintain and organize a media library and electronic files of all advertising materials by property and activity.
- Apply current SEO strategies and use content management systems (CMS) to update hotel websites.
- Administer social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) for design and content creation.
Requirements
- A four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a marketing position; hospitality experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent comprehension and literacy for reading managerial correspondence, contracts, and proposals.

- Computer literacy, particularly in MS Word for Windows.
