Summary
Manages the daily operations of the assigned department or function to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assists with developing specific departmental quality goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
- Maintains departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Manages QA/QI initiatives to drive department clinical improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum Required Education: IF RN: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. IF PARAMEDIC: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing - OR- IF PARAMEDIC: Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Licensure/Certification: IF RN: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) - OR - IF PARAMEDIC: Within 1 year: National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Paramedic (NREMT-NRP). Within 90 days: Colorado EMT-P certification. REQUIRED OF BOTH: BLS and ACLS.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.
Pay
$43.25 - $69.19 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Schedule
Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
