About the role

As a member of the Development Supply Chain team, you will lead Amgen’s ATO Supply Chain Operations and Distribution initiatives, collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and Process Development to meet evolving business needs through new capabilities and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Development Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing Plants to develop new capabilities and drive process improvement projects.
  • Advance continuous improvement initiatives by leading building- and site-wide projects, including Change Control ownership.
  • Provide direct support for deviation investigations and CAPA implementation.
  • Manage a team consisting of full-time employees and contingent workers.
  • Measure and report on budget, business performance, and productivity for Warehouse, Receiving, Dispensing, and Distribution functions.
  • Create compelling data visualizations for senior leadership using advanced reporting tools and AI-enabled processes.
  • Represent Warehouse operations to regulatory authorities, government agencies, and business entities.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate Quality, Compliance, Supply, and Safety risks.
  • Work with external and contracted partners to monitor and improve performance through Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR
  • Master’s degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Supply Chain experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of Supply Chain experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead both direct reports and cross-functional teams; strong situational leadership skills.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with GMP operations from Manufacturing, Quality, Process Development, and/or Supply Chain perspectives.
  • Accountability and Autonomy: Ability to set clear goals, prioritize staff workload, and operate independently to deliver high-quality work.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, apply the DAI (Decision, Advise, Inform) model, and make risk-appropriate decisions.
  • Digital, Analytical and Financial Skills: Understanding of business financial concepts and ability to utilize data and AI-based tools to drive insights and improve efficiency.
  • Communication: Ability to distill complex information and tailor communication for diverse audiences, including regulatory agencies and business entities.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
