MGR CONTRACT ADMIN 2

U.S. Citizenship required. This is a full-time, 1st shift position based in Newport News, VA. Relocation assistance is not available. This role is not eligible for telework and requires travel 10%-25% of the time.

About the Role

Administers, extends, negotiates, and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

This position is within the VIRGINIA Class Submarine New Construction Group, which handles VCS New Construction, VIRGINIA Lead Yard Services, Submarine Parts BOA, CONFORM, and various smaller pursuits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; OR
• Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.

One of the following may be used as equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate’s Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant exempt experience
• High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS
• Exceptional communication skills (ability to demonstrate)
• Effective management of multiple contracts, proposals, and projects
• Development of staff/personnel

Pay

Salary range: $127,000.00 to $159,000.00. The anticipated salary range represents the estimated base pay for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
