About the role

Minuteman Food Mart Assistant Store Leader position available. Some management experience preferred. Previous retail experience and High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all areas of operations of the store in the Store Leader’s absence, including Guest Service, Profit and Loss, Human Resources, and all other functions of the store.
  • Performs specific tasks as assigned by the Store Leader.
  • Aids the Store Leader in maintaining the store to Minuteman Food Mart standards.
  • Adheres to all Government ABC and Tobacco regulations.
  • Maintains reliable transportation and timely deposits.
  • Ensures all guests receive “OUTSTANDING” Guest Service by setting a good example and ensuring it is practiced by all employees.
  • Notifies the Store Leader of any store discrepancies.
  • Fulfills proper clocking in and out procedures through the company computer.
  • Collaborates with the entire staff to achieve 100% scores on all branded Mystery Shops.

Merchandising

  • Utilizes suggested selling techniques with Guests.
  • Maintains store equipment, including fountain, coffee, and food service areas.
  • Safeguards cooler, store shelves, and displays to ensure cleanliness, full stock, and proper fronting.
  • Notifies the Store Leader of any maintenance issues immediately.

Work Schedule

  • Three-second shifts and two first shifts.
  • One member of management on both shifts during second shifts.
  • The assistant is responsible for all Store Leader tasks on two-day shifts when the manager is off.
