About the role

Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly who will assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.

Responsibilities

• Preform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece
• Test finished products for defects
• Maintain the tools used to create products
• Assembles products and parts
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Verify specifications by measuring completed component
• Monitor the production line and remove faulty products
• Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
• Conducting quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
• Adds finishing touches to the appearance of components
• Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner
• Keeping equipment maintenance logs
• Collaborates with other departments to complete production orders on time
• Complies with internal policies and industry regulations
• Ensure work area is clean and safe

Requirements

• Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems
• Fabricating experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Work as a team within department and with other departments and Leads
• Work as scheduled hours and comply with the company policies

Required Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products
• Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time
