MFG Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Ensure the reliability and operation of machinery and auxiliary equipment in a plastic injection molding facility. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule and perform reactive troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. Work safely while identifying opportunities to improve work processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair injection molding machines, extrusion equipment, compressors, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and related machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems to minimize downtime.
• Support engineering-led projects, kaizen events, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
• Manage spare parts inventory, assist with building repairs, and coordinate with contractors on system upgrades.
• Respond to emergencies with timely troubleshooting and repairs to keep production moving.
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance Supervisors to maintain safe, smooth, and efficient operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or technical training a plus).
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic system repair.
• Knowledge of injection molding, pneumatic conveying, chilled water systems, and grinders.
• Skilled in using a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Welding and machining experience.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
