Metrology Specialist

We are seeking a Metrology Specialist to support tooling, production, R&D, and flight test operations. This role involves performing dimensional measurements and verification of tooling, fixtures, jigs, and aircraft components using advanced technologies such as laser trackers, 3D scanners, and metrology arms. The specialist will analyze measurement data, generate inspection reports, and support measurement strategy development to ensure compliance with engineering and aerodynamic requirements. Responsibilities include hands-on support for tooling build, assembly, and adjustment activities; assisting with fixture setup, alignment, and troubleshooting; and collaborating with engineering and production teams to develop practical measurement solutions. The role requires maintaining and calibrating metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and operational readiness. Qualifications include 3+ years of relevant metrology experience or a technical degree with hands-on metrology skills. Proficiency with metrology software, GD&T knowledge, and ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models are essential. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are required. Physical demands involve handling items up to 50 lbs, working in various environmental conditions, and following safety protocols.
