Metrology / Facilities Technician I

About the Role

The Facilities & Metrology Technician I is an entry-level, hands-on technical role responsible for supporting facility maintenance activities and performing routine metrology and calibration tasks in a clean manufacturing and laboratory environment. This position develops foundational skills through on-the-job training while supporting inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and routine calibration of facility systems, manufacturing equipment, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs throughout facilities, manufacturing areas, laboratories, and grounds.
• Conduct routine scheduled maintenance to ensure instruments, equipment, and building systems remain compliant with operational and manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with departmental SOPs, GMP/ISO requirements, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with foundational skills developed through on-the-job training.
• Ability to perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in a clean manufacturing and laboratory environment.
• Capability to maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with departmental SOPs, GMP/ISO requirements, and regulatory standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in ISO-13485 or GMP environments
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
• Fundamental understanding of calibration principles and maintenance practices
