About the role

As the Metro Manager, you will manage and lead the overall performance objectives of the assigned metro market to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining the financial integrity of the Company. You will develop synergies between the assigned facilities to meet and exceed sales and operational goals, executing aligned business strategy to promote growth in your market, which may include up to 3 separate locations. You will also protect all Goodyear assets within your area of responsibility, including inventory, accounts receivable, trucks, and equipment, with the goal of reducing operating costs. This role requires 35%-50% travel between locations within the assigned market.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure growth of sales and profit generation to reach profitability goals across the metro area.
  • Partner with District Manager to meet sales and profit goals by maximizing sales force activity, including identifying appropriate salespersons for customers and monitoring customer business growth.
  • Attain total customer satisfaction by directing and maintaining a Total Quality Culture to satisfy business needs.
  • Assist in training Center personnel (Center Managers, Service Managers, and Office Managers) to develop their maximum potential in productivity and upward mobility across market locations.
  • Keep management informed of all competitive products, practices, and distribution.
  • Train, develop, motivate, and lead groups of individuals to meet common goals.
  • Assist with managing all safety, health, and environmental processes by conducting morning safety huddles, prioritizing safety, and reporting injuries and accidents to management.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of management and sales experience.
  • Commercial tire sales or service experience.
  • Knowledge of tire manufacturing and manufacturing process systems.
  • Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle required for the position; must meet commercial driver qualification requirements, including being at least 21 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Management, or a related field.

  • Self-starter willing to take initiative and work without direct supervision.
