About the role

The Second Annual MetOx International Futures Invitational is an application‑only, invitation‑only, two‑day technical and recruiting experience for PhD and Master's candidates. It will be held January 26–27, 2027 at MetOx International’s Houston headquarters. Participants will tour the facility and advanced manufacturing operations, present their thesis, capstone, or other technical research to MetOx leadership, interview for full‑time, Houston‑based roles across the technical organization, engage with leaders and teams scaling HTS technology from R&D to high‑volume manufacturing, and connect with other outstanding graduate researchers from leading programs nationwide. Selected participants will be considered for full‑time opportunities in areas such as Thin‑Film Process Development, Deposition Equipment Engineering & Fluid Modeling, Materials Characterization, Electrochemical Polishing & Surface Engineering, Process Integration & Advanced Manufacturing, Controls Engineering & Process Automation, and Data Science & Manufacturing Analytics. Applications must be submitted by November 20, 2026; applicants should upload a resume and a brief statement (one page or less) describing their interest in attending, how their research connects to MetOx’s challenges, and the impact they hope to make. The invitation covers all expenses (travel, lodging, meals) for the event.
