Primary Responsibilities
- Develops Operating plans and Recovery plans as needed.
- Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data (e.g., statistics, operations research, trend and production impacts), and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, senior leadership, other departments, suppliers).
- Develops, implements, and improves processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
- Provides support to complete various projects as needed.
- Analyzes and designs value streams, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).
Candidate must be able to
- Interact with other employees to gather data for process improvements.
- Observe, document processes, and collect data in manufacturing areas or on aircraft during various production phases.
- Schedule work plans, conduct data analysis (historical, trends and production impacts), staffing and process improvements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited university.
- 2+ years of experience with Project Planning, Scheduling, Project Management.
- 2+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer or Production Engineer in a factory environment.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Planning, engineering drawings and specifications, and lean concepts (certifications preferred).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, SAS, VBA, SQL, Minitab.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aircraft / Aerospace industry experience.
- Experience with 3D Computer aided design tools such as IVT.
- Experience with Boeing standard scheduling tools such as Aurora.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
- 2+ years of experience conducting/leading Time studies and reporting out to leadership.
- Cost Account Management experience with applied Earned Value Management principles.
Physical Requirements
- Able to walk, stand, and enter aircraft via steps or ladders.
- Able to lift up to 35lbs.
Pay Rate Range
36 - 41 USD hourly
