Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing SEM-based fiber length measurement methodologies and identify sources of variability impacting data quality.
- Assess the feasibility of utilizing Malvern Morphologi or similar image-based particle analysis systems for nanofiber characterization.
- Develop, optimize, and validate sample preparation techniques to improve fiber dispersion and minimize entanglement.
- Design and execute comparative studies evaluating SEM, Morphologi, and alternative analytical methods.
- Analyze method performance based on accuracy, precision, robustness, repeatability, and reproducibility.
- Generate technical reports, summarize findings, and present recommendations to project stakeholders.
- Support troubleshooting, method optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory documentation in accordance with company procedures and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, analytical, and engineering teams to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in analytical method development, materials characterization, or laboratory research.
- Hands-on experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and image analysis techniques.
- Experience designing and executing experimental studies and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of particle characterization and measurement methodologies.
- Excellent technical writing, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
