TruCheck Metering Solutions is hiring for immediate openings in the Park City/Wichita, Kansas area. This contracted position runs through April 2027.
About the role
As an Entry-Level Field Technician (ERT Technician), you will replace gas meter modules and complete assigned field service orders. Each day, you will report to the Park City/Wichita-area office, receive your assigned inventory and daily route, and safely complete work orders using a company-provided vehicle, tools, equipment, and procedures. Comprehensive, step-by-step training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily assigned tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
- Plan and organize daily work assignments and routes efficiently.
- Follow all safety rules, company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Interact professionally, respectfully, and courteously with the public, customers, and client personnel.
- Accurately complete work orders, task reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
- Properly use, inspect, protect, and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
- Safely operate handheld tools and equipment required to complete meter-related work.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete all required Operator Qualification (OQ) training and testing related to meter work and meter reading.
- English-speaking proficiency is required for effective communication and completion of safety and training requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening prior to hire.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
- Must be physically able to bend, squat, walk, and use handheld tools throughout the workday.
- Must be willing and able to work outdoors and travel throughout the assigned service area.
Qualifications
- Technical aptitude or previous technical training is a plus.
- Strong common sense and a dependable work ethic.
- Comfortable using computers and smartphones.
- Ability to read maps and navigate assigned routes.
- Ability and willingness to learn and use hand tools and field equipment.

Pay
Starting pay: $24.25 per hour, with a $0.50 per hour raise after 60 days.
Schedule
Employees report to the office daily.
