About the role
TruCheck is seeking entry-level Meter Readers in the Denver Metro area. This position involves reading electric and natural gas meters, requiring driving and walking in all weather conditions and terrains. We value safety, energy, dependability, and strong customer service skills. The role is ideal for those who enjoy working independently and outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Physically or remotely gather onsite electric and natural gas meter billing information.
- Drive extensively throughout the Denver metro area.
- Meet strict deadlines for completing meter reading routes.
- Walk 5+ miles per day in all weather conditions (rain, sleet, snow, extreme heat).
- Handle encounters with wildlife and animals.
- Communicate courteously with customers while maintaining excellent service.
- Perform duties safely and follow company/client procedures.
- Use computers/technology as required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and walk several miles per day.
- Carry up to 20 lbs of equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours per week; no overtime or weekends).
Pay
Starting rate of $23.00 per hour.
