About the role

Install and maintain self-contained electric meters energized up to 240 volts in the shop and on customer premises. This is an Evergreen Requisition established to identify and engage qualified candidates for future Meter Electrician C-A opportunities. While there may not be an immediate opening at the time of application, candidates who meet the qualifications may be considered for current and future vacancies as they become available throughout our service territory. Responsibilities

• Read meters as required for field order and on schedule for cycle billing
• Install, remove, change disconnect, and reconnect meters
• Test single phase, network, and polyphase self-contained meter for proper operation and accuracy
• Program meters
• Perform Credit and Collections related order including disconnect and reconnect for non-payment
• Investigate irregular usage
• Investigate energy diversion
• Repair meters, meter sockets, and meter enclosures
• Order, receive, ship, store, and inventory meter and associated equipment
• Investigate self-contained service power quality problems, install event recorders, neutral testers, and produce reports
• Perform work from ladders and elevated platforms
