This position will require 50% support at CNIWTG HQ N5 at JEBLC and 50% support at IWTD Norfolk at Norfolk Naval Base.
Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between IWTG leadership, government staff, and contractor teams for the development and maintenance of training courses and associated instructional materials.
- Design, write, and develop instructional content and learning materials that support effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Develop and review learning objectives and training goals for both new and existing curricula.
- Apply the Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (PADDIE) methodology across the full lifecycle of course development.
- Convert and adapt instructional materials across multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led training, eLearning, virtual instruction, and blended learning.
- Develop and maintain performance support materials such as online knowledge bases, job aids, quick reference guides, and other digital learning resources.
- Apply learning theory and instructional design principles to optimize training effectiveness.
- Support the evaluation of training programs using established evaluation methods and metrics.
- Manage multiple curriculum development projects simultaneously.
- Conduct “train-the-trainer” sessions in classroom, virtual, or remote environments to support training implementation.
- Assist the government with the integration of instructional software and technologies within the IWTD enterprise.
- Analyze, interpret, and synthesize technical source material into clear, concise, and effective instructional products.
Requirements
- Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- 10+ years demonstrated expertise in the field of Meteorology.
- 8 years of Naval Experience with Fleet Weather experience.
- Familiarity with the Navy Curriculum Development Process and NAVEDTRA 130B series standards.
- Experience developing or converting training materials into Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI), blended learning, or modern courseware delivery formats.
- Knowledge of learning theory, instructional design, and instructional technologies.
- Demonstrated experience applying the PADDIE instructional design methodology throughout the course development lifecycle.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize technical information into well-written instructional content.
- Knowledge of training evaluation methodologies and the ability to implement multiple levels of evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior military experience supporting Meteorology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Oceanography or Meteorology (preferred).
Pay
US: $90,000 to $103,000
