Responsibilities
- Be the friendly, trusted voice viewers turn to — on-air, online, and across all platforms.
- Go live in the field when weather gets interesting (or intense), bringing authenticity and clarity in uncertain moments.
- Craft compelling, accurate forecasts that are understandable and visually engaging.
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, and digital teams to deliver a seamless multiplatform weather presence.
- Create and maintain an active social media presence that connects with viewers in real time.
- Participates in promotional activities including public appearances.
- Step in for teammates when they’re off — sometimes last-minute — because weather doesn’t wait.
Requirements
- BS in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a closely related field.
- AMS/CBM and/or NWA Seal(s) required.
- Five (5) years of experience with live broadcasting, especially during rapidly changing or severe weather.
- Comfort working with WSI/Max, Baron, and other modern forecasting tools.
- Strong storytelling skills — on-air, online, and across digital platforms.
- A collaborative spirit that elevates the entire team.
