Job Summary/Description
- Prepare and deliver accurate daily weather forecasts for television, digital, and social media platforms.
- Provide clear, urgent, and reliable coverage during severe weather and other impactful weather events.
- Monitor weather models, radar, and data sources to track changing conditions and communicate updates quickly.
- Create weather-related content for the station website, app, CTV platforms, and social media channels.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field required.
- On-air weather presentation experience preferred.
- Strong forecasting skills and the ability to explain complex weather information in a clear and engaging way.
- Experience with weather systems, radar technology, graphics platforms, and forecasting tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended coverage during severe weather.
