About the role
Reporter/Meteorologist to cover Austin, the Hill Country, and San Antonio across live streams, social media, FOX7Austin.com, and linear newscasts. You'll report on major weather and community stories, deliver live updates during severe weather, and create engaging content for every platform. This role is part of our news team, with opportunities to work both in the field and in the studio.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live updates during severe weather
- Create engaging content for every platform
- Think beyond traditional TV news packages and create compelling video, text, graphics, and social content
- Work both in the field and in the studio
Requirements
- At least three years of reporting and/or meteorology experience
- Strong live, digital, and social-media skills
- Ability to shoot, write, edit, and produce content independently
- Experience covering severe weather and breaking news
- A passion for serving Central and South Texas communities
Qualifications
- Fill-in anchor experience is a plus
Pay
$50,000.00-60,000.00 annually
