Metallurgical Lab Supervisor

About the role

The Metallurgical Lab Supervisor will be reporting to the Metallurgical Superintendent, overseeing metallurgical lab activities and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, direction, and technical leadership for Met Lab personnel and activities.
• Maintain a strong safety culture within the Met Lab and ensure work is performed in accordance with CC&V safety standards and procedures.
• Plan, prioritize, coordinate and execute routine and non-routine metallurgical laboratory test programs in support of site operations and growth.
• Oversee metallurgical testing, quality, and reporting for, but not limited to, bottle rolls, VAT leach tests, columns, recovery evaluations, cyanide and lime consumption testing, carbon testwork, PSDs and investigative / diagnostic metallurgical testwork.
• Provide technical support for heap leach facilities, ADRs and other associated mineral processing operations.
• Coordinate with external labs for metallurgical testwork as needed.
• Ensure appropriate QA/QC practices.
• Utilize LIMS, historian, spreadsheets and other tools to compile, analyze and communicate metallurgical information.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering with 2+ years of gold heap leaching and ADR experience required.
